Time to replace your mailbox post? This attractive mailbox post from Outdoor Essentials® is long-lasting color-treated wood that can contact the ground and resists rot. The pressure-treated wood has been infused with cedar-tone colorant for good looks. The ready-to-assemble post kit comes with a precut support post and arm with angled ends, plus deck screws. For post-installation, a general rule of thumb is to place 1/3 the length of the post in the ground (that’s about 24 inches). Follow the manufacturer’s complete instructions. Helpful to have: power drill with Phillips bit, a post hole digger, level. NOTE: You will also need a mounting board (not included) to install your mailbox. For a mailbox 7-1/4 inches wide or larger, you’ll need a 7-1/4 in. x 17 in. x ¾ in. mounting board.
