I bought this to replace one I bought about 5 years ago.It fit perfectly on the existing mounting hardware, so it only took minutes to install. It is sturdy, but I learned from the last one to unwind the whole hose and empty the water out before you rewind the hose .The weight of the hose with water still in it puts too much of a strain on the plastic.

Slightly bothers me that something entirely plastic can cost up to 80 dollars, (except at wayfair) on line. Precisely why I purchased here.
The front loading reel is much easier to use, than side loading reels, especially with heavy hoses. The shelf is very convenient, but a bit disappointing was the manual hose guide on front. Some better models employ gearing that disperses the hose across the reel automatically. Sounds like a First World problem, I know. Consider that most metal models that do this cost at least twice as much and are prone to rust.
In areas of intense sun, my Suncast products have averaged a life of about 3 to 4 years.
For the price here, still a fairly good purchase.
