It’s a palace for silkies!Mansion in the sky! The parts were easy to put together. It was a fun SIP project for my 14 year old daughter and I.The wood is on the thin side, and I can see the reasons for loose floor panels for cleaning the next box and patio, but I would secure then from predators. I will add a few more locks in place for racoons.

Great little coop, assembly instructions are clear and thorough. Easy to assemble. Recommend planting citronella in the planter box to keep mosquitoes from the chicks at night. Had to cover the sides so my motley rescue dogs would leave the chicks alone. Building a bigger coop from scratch because this is a little flimsy and I don’t know how long it will last, did add another layer of weather proofing clear paint to it. Basically using it as a brooder coop for the baby chicks right now and it’s a great start to our backyard farm.
