Fixed awnings with solid polycarbonate material and aluminum brackets enhance the exterior aesthetics while protecting from UV and shelter from precipitation. The solid polycarbonate canopy panel is made from 100% virgin raw material. Many brands use lesser-grade recycled materials that often have impurities mixed in. Beware of polycarbonate panels that are not solid, but actually, hollow. Cutting such corners short-changes you with products that do not stand up to the elements for long. In addition to being weaker, hollow spaces are gathering points for mold and dust. Fits perfectly above our basement door and blocks alot of the rain from coming in. Not to mention very stylish. Just a tip, make sure to remove all snow and ice because it will separate from the installed wall.

We bought this to install above the entry door to a storage building/workshop where water would run down the door and underneath, causing the floor to absorb moisture.Since installing this, the runoff occurs away from the entry and alleviated the problem.It was a bit of a challenge to install, taking both my husband and myself, but was completed within an hour.A purchase with which we’ve been satisfied so far.

Nice touch contemporary look against my old cedar shake vinyl . However this awning alone will not hold on its own so we had to remove the newer siding to expose it and reinforce.my husband had to double reinforce thearea(double layer of 2 by 8 in between the studs )so the provided wooden lag screws will have enough support. Beautiful look
