This coop is designed to hold multiple chickens, depending on size and breed, in a living house, nesting box, and backyard run. The run can be opened, to allow your chickens more space to fluff their feathers. The top of the pen opens for easy food and water refilling, and the nesting box also opens for easy access to fresh eggs. The coop has some weatherization, but more may be needed depending on your climate.

Perfect for 3-4 full grown hens. I have 3 White leghorn hens in mine. The ramp doubles as a door that can be shut at night against predators such as coyotes & foxes. However, if you have a coyote problem, you will need to make sure it is anchored to the ground. If you want 100% coyote proofing see my review on concertina wire.

This coop is a bit flimsy not secure enough to leave animals out in at night, but it has served us well on the farm as a temporary housing option for our chickens until their pen was finished.It has enabled us to keep a handicapped chicken separated from the flock in the chicken coop all winter, and provides shelter for her in her separate chicken run.For all of this, it was well worth it.

The coop is good quality- pretty quick build- my husband and son Were able to complete a couple hours with my toddler running around. The frame for the run is very light, so attaching a rodent barrier screen is going to require us to buy a heavy duty stapler as nailing or tacking will splinter it. Good starter coop, and we can use it as a basic pattern for a larger coop as we get further into the chicken thing. The roof is great- it’s a tar paper type, and is nice and sturdy. We will probably fit it with locks so the chickens can’t pop it open and escape from the egg retrieval area as it’s light weight. Overall we are quite pleased with it- it’s attractive, good sized, and good quality!
