Purchased this umbrella to shade my east facing windows in the summer.Size and fabric thickness are as described.The biggest challenge was finding a proper base, the recommended 150 to support the size.Those located were several hundred dollars.I found a perfect solution, shown in photo for less than 100 total and it looks fantastic.This sucker ain’t going anywhere!Winds have reached 20 mph here in Texas since I’ve had it up. Performs well although higher winds than that, I won’t leave it up.I’m worried about sun fading over time. I read Scotchguard has a UV protectant so have sprayed it down.Here’s hoping…..
The only negative thing I can say is as the umbrella reaches full extension, it’s a little hard to crank the rest of the way but entirely doable.

Get this umbrella!!!
We needed some shade for our deck and any type of structure wouldn’t fit on our narrow deck.
This umbrella is a game changer. Covers the entire table AND part of the deck. I love it!!!

This umbrella is absolutely huge! I chose the tan fabric because last year I had a red one and it was very faded very quickly although it was a different brand. I opened it today to spray it with Scotchgard and hopefully it will not fade if I spray it once a year. A three dollar can of Protective should help this to last a lifetime. I’m especially excited that the extra large area keeps everything covered And in the shade while in use. I am not not not a fan of pergolas they take up too much space. 
And, although it is very large is very easy to open and close.

I was a bit skeptical of the sturdiness of this because of the size, but it’s perfect. I had no problem installing it in my existing base, and it really does provide a massive amount of shade. We’ve hung LED lights in ours, and did decide to use a bit of an anchor line to keep it from spinning too much in light wind.

Love this! The color is a deep red. My only complaint is I wish it rods snapped together instead of twisting b/c it tends to spin in the wind.
Update: after just a couple weeks the crank broke…this was with minimal use.

This umbrella is excellent quality and absolutely huge. We love it and it is amazing especially for the price. Similar ones range four times as much. I didn’t pay attention to the size of the pole and it’s bigger than what I needed for the hole in our pool but it works very well with a separate stand. Make sure you buy a stand with a 2 inch width.

This umbrella is huge – bigger than any we could find locally and provides a lot a shade just as we had hoped. The 3-point design and mechanism isunusual but seems to be working fine. The fabric is a little on the thinside but seems sturdy enough, however a very small hole has developed in the fabric perhaps from moving it on the ground. Time will tell how well the fabric and that hole holds up. For the money we are very happy with this purchase.
