EZ-Floor 12″ x 12″ Teak Wood Snap-In Deck Tiles in Oiled

I love these deck tiles! I have an ugly concrete stoop at the house I recently purchased. I wanted to elevate the look of it without great expense because I’ve already spent a fortune renovating the interior. These tiles filled the bill. Everyone who sees them comments. They were super easy to I stall and took about 2 hours for a 100 sq ft area.

I read reviews and was aware that other people had some issues with the plastic in the bottom being broken in transit. I’m happy to report that I used 9 boxes and ALL pieces were perfect. I’ll be using the last box to cut some pieces with a jigsaw to fill the back edges to the wall. I’m super happy with my purchase and the quality of these pieces. They were a breeze to install, look great and are good heavy quality. I’d recommend and in fact, may purchase more down the road to use on my back patio.

I bought this for my 10’x6.5′ concrete balcony – overall, it looks great and wasn’t too difficult to install, so I’m satisfied.

Minor issues:
– I ordered 7 boxes and probably half were in kind of rough shape by the time they got to me. 2 tiles had an edge of the plastic backing break off, but the rest were fine.
– the other reviews are correct in that sometimes a tile won’t always snap in. I think it’s because the tolerances in the plastic backing are a little bit loose so you can end up with the top and left corner off enough that the pegs on the tile getting installed can’t line up with both of the sides they’re supposed to snap into. It meant extra work in swapping tiles until I got combinations that worked right, but it wasn’t too bad.
– It does take some effort to snap everything in so I think this is best installed over a hard surface.

I bought these specifically because I was going to cut some of the tiles in half to fill in the last bit at the bottom of the picture, but haven’t gotten around to it yet!

Such an improvement over our plastic shower floor! I feel like I’m using an outdoor shower now! I had to use a piece of no-slip matting underneath so it doesn’t slide on top of my shower floor but it works perfectly now.

Really happy with this purchase. We laid them as an outside patio several months ago and I’m very happy with it so far. We laid them over soil, however, I would not recommend doing that. We leveled the surface before spreading a layer of gravel, but when we laid the tiles, we realized it wasn’t nearly level enough so one tile would be a half inch higher than the one next to it. We spent so many hours trying to get it level so the tiles laid flat next to each other. It was tedious, but it came out nicely in the end.
