For the price, this is an excellent heater. I live in Ontario, Canada so it can get pretty cool in the Spring and Fall and outright freezing in the Winter. I installed two of these in my gazebo and use them year round. In the winter I install tarps around the gazebo and will supplement these heaters with a propane radiant heater. Even in -20c temps we’re toasty warm — heat from above (these heaters) and below (propane heater). In the winter this becomes my whisky/cigar lounge.
I really only have two issues with the heaters. 1) they produce a lot of light which for some might be considered a bonus, but in my case, I’d prefer to control the lighting. 2) you must have the remote in order to turn them on. There is a power switch on the unit but this does not activate the heating elements, so don’t lose the remote.
I did a lot of research before purchasing these and would have needed to pay at least 4 times as much to get all of the features I wanted, just not worth it for my use case.
As others have mentioned, this is a 240-volt unit and will require a special receptacle and a double pole circuit breaker. In my case, I ran two separate 20 amp circuits which used four breaker positions on the panel.

we have this in our barn for our mini cow.I know everyone says barn animals dont need heat but we wanted just a little something to make them a little more comfortable and to take the chill out when it starts to get cold.Its hangs perfectly and it just enough for them

I purchased this electric patio heater to give us some more heat on my gazebo in conjunction with our outdoor fire pit. Wow, Im really impressed with the heat that it puts out. The infrared heater drops heat directly down on us and it has a remote with 3 settings of 1000,2000, 3000 watts…. You must have an electrician install a 240 volt plug in order for it to work but its a very cost effective way of giving your outdoor sessions a nicer feel as the cooler months come in Cant wait to see how it does once the temps drop down into the 40s.It puts off a very orange glow which adds to the light effect… Great purchase and one that we are very pleased with… Thanks Wayfair…….
