Purchased to be an entryway, “mud-room” bench.LOVE!!!The design and the 485-pound, weight capacity is what sold me!I wanted a bench that could easily handle 2, adult males sitting down firmly/roughly to remove wet rain and/or snow gear.
The only con is the assembly directions are poor/lacking.Add a drill to your tools required for assembly.Pilot holes need to be drilled into the slats before the corresponding fasteners can be screwed into/through the wood.The wood will have a tendency to split otherwise.And, the instructions (drawing misprint?) indicate the side braces (that provide vertical support) are to be attached to the 3rd/middle slat.That is physically impossible based on the pre-bend of the metal braces.They need to be attached to the 2nd from the back slat.
