It’s very lovely but up close there are a lot of workmanship issues I wasn’t expecting. Once it’s up on the roof it should be fine, but I had considered making it an indoor ornament until I saw it in person.
It’s still very pretty and I’m not unhappy, just a bit disappointed. The seams have gaps and I hope this won’t be a rain issue. The face is barely stamped and will not be visible more than a few feet away. But, on the roof I’m sure it will do the job it needs to do.

Bought this gorgeous weathervane as a gift for hubby’s upcoming “special” milestone birthday. Have only opened the box for a peek, as his birthday isn’t until December 13. But I can tell you it is breathtakingly beautiful, and will be the perfect crowning touch for our new home. Will update with photos once it’s installed.
