This is the only baffle I have found which fits on a pole which is already in the ground (a lot of work to get the pole planted deeply in the soil – I did not want to dig it up and start over)!The unit I received had one piece of broken plastic where the unit comes together around the pole, but I needed the baffle as soon as possible so I could refill my birdfeeders.It was clear that the unit would still work and stay together in spite of the missing/broken off piece of plastic.It could be helpful to have an extra set of hands, but no one was around, so I managed just fine assembling it myself.
Be sure your shepherd’s hook/basket hanger is far away from any window ledge or surfaces from which the squirrel can jump onto the feeders.
