Overall the Handy engagement was less than ideal.Handy did provide refund based on my constructive feedback.Increased my review of them after; from a 2 to 4 once refund was indicated
I.E.: 1st trip 2 installers, but had to stop before even installing the heavy frame.2nd trip: only 1 installer came in from Handy. He started the install by himself.Requested another date from Handy when 2 people would be doing job, but Handy kept going with install.To his credit, he completed the installation- not easy.Not an ideal situation when trying to lift support beams so I helped.
Oct: Currently disappointed with Sunjoy product quality as the inner middle beams holes did not align and beam incorrectly cut- 3/4″ gap in connection joint, along with an inner short beam that is cracked/knot, had to stop the build as I order replacement parts.The process to order replacement from Wayfair was relatively easy if you have the part list.
Overall satisfied with the whole process as was eager to get the Gazebo in place before winter.Sealed the wood as preventive measure for New England weather.

I thought this was one of the best fitting pre-fabricated sets I have assembled. My only complaint is that the directions were not easy to understand as they do not show the orientation of some pieces. Which matters later and you have to go back and disassemble to correct before you can move ahead . My suggestion is watch one of the YouTube videos of the Sunjoy assembly (by other real people like us) before you attempt to assemble this (Yes, this means you dude who thinks, “awww I can do it without reading the directions”). It’s Super important to get the wood squared before you attach the metal or the roofing or it wont fit right! Finally, when screwing metal parts together, DON”T TIGHTEN UNTIL THE SECTION IS COMPLETE! When everything fits in that page/section, then go back and tighten. Same with the roofing, lay it all out, then place it on the roof and loosely tighten so you can make slight adjustments. Again, quality parts and this was a very well designed auto-cad pre-fab. Use your cordless drill bits on low torque setting and save your wrist! I put anti seize compound on all the screws and bolts in case I ever need to disassemble and sell/move it, but I think many of the bolts are pre-painted and the interior mounts may be plastic so they wont rust? The parts have letters and numbers on stickers, but you can write them on areas that are hidden after it is assembled. Also, I painted the wood with an extra coat of Satin “SPAR” Urethane to protect my new Gazebo! OMG, the two boxes are very heavy, but when you take out the pieces one item at a time, it is a very doable project and you will be happy with the final product. The measurements are are a little off, i ordered a 13’x11′ and that is the roof dimensions, corner to corner. The posts are more like 12’x10′ So if you are putting something like a jacuzzi underneath, just make sure it fits!

Everyone comments on how much they love this gazebo. I built mine on my deck. It took me about 7 hours to build it by myself. The directions were a little rough at times but nothing you shouldn’t be able to figure out. The quality seems very well and I’m hoping it lasts for years!

Hard to believe that this structure fit into the two relatively little boxes. Delivered when promised. If you haven’t built anything before, consider getting help. I built in a day with a 6’ and 10’ ladder, had a helper for key moments. Let’s see how well it holds up, but very happy upon install.

You will not regret buying this!It is amazing. The cedar paired with the black top is beautiful.It is very sturdy.We have had so many compliments since we put it up last week.My husband builds homes and built us an in-ground pool himself so obviously he’s very handy however I would recommend a helper or two for the frame to go up and also someone to hand the panels up the ladder when it’s time to install the roof.It speeds up the process two-fold.It took him about 4-5 hours to complete.Be advised, I would recommend nailing down the top panels as any big wind will separate them in some sections.For some reason the panels are not secured (just overlap) ONLY in the middle of each side of the roof. We bought screws, spray painted blackscrewed then just on time for a thunderstorm to hit.So what others advise is true.Secure them down.Buy this now!

This turned out perfect! The professionals that Wayfair offered from handy dud s great job and very professional team. Setup 5 hours, 3 people. Great job. The privacy walks and mosquito netting is too small. I need to find the correct ones.
